Order of Operations
What do you DO first?
Learn the hierarchy. Then choose the first operation — not the final answer.

Order of Operations

PEMDAS is a memory aid. The important idea is which operations have priority — and which operations are peers.

PParentheses first
EExponents next
MDMultiply OR divide — same level, left → right
ASAdd OR subtract — same level, left → right
Key idea: multiplication does NOT automatically come before division, and addition does NOT automatically come before subtraction. MD are peers. AS are peers.
Round 10 correct
